Event & Community Engagement Volunteer (2) 

LPLA is looking for two volunteers to represent LPLA at local events around Lake Pepin during 2019.

 Primary Duties

  • Professionally represent LPLA at community events

  • Set-up/take-down LPLA information table

  • Communicate with public about Lake Pepin’s water quality issues and LPLA’s mission

  • Responsibly process donations and memberships

  • Report back to LPLA staff

 Experience

  • Ability to work unsupervised; highly-motivated

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and take instruction

  • Knowledge about regional water issues

  • Experience with cash management, ability to use electronic payment software

  • Knowledge about Lake Pepin sedimentation and LPLA mission (preferred)

Additional Info

  • Volunteer/Unpaid Position

  • Must have your own vehicle

  • Events are often on weekends/weeknights

  • Must commit to 3-6 events during 2019 season

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.

  • Some training required.
