2019 Event Schedule
What is wrong with Lake Pepin? Why focus on local restoration? Why construct islands? Why use dredge material? {Your question here}?
Inspired by public questions emerging from recent news, Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance (LPLA) is doing a “talking tour” around the lake. The evening will include a presentation from LPLA about Lake Pepin sedimentation, local restoration, and upstream mitigation. It will address some of the questions we’ve recently received. We hope the presentation sparks a good conversation and Q&A afterwards.
Door prizes.
Delicious food, dessert, and beverages available for purchase from Stockholm Pie & General Store!
LPLA is participating in Salsa-licious, a fundraising event for Red Wing non-profit organizations. Come join us for a day of salsa sampling, fun activities, and friendly competition. Margaritas also available! LPLA will bring Pepie’s Secret Sauce (green salsa) and life-size Jenga!
Location: Sargent’s Greenhouse
Tickets: $5

Come for the drink, stay for the fun, and leave with a Lake Pepin masterpiece!
LPLA is leading a local paint and brew night at the Lake City Sportsmans Club in which participants will create their very own Lake Pepin painting. Environmental artist and activist, Maris Gilbert will explain and demonstrate step-by-step instructions for participants to interpret on their own. After a series of easy-to-replicate painting instructions, a Lake Pepin landscape will start to emerge from the paint. When it’s complete, you will have a beautiful painting of Lake Pepin to take home as a keepsake.
