Join, Renew, Give Again!

Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance (LPLA) is organizing a year-end member drive “to save our disappearing lake” this November and December. The campaign is a celebration of love as much as a call to action. LPLA hopes to add 250 members to achieve their 750 total member goal for 2018. If we succeed, our unofficial mascot, Pepie the Lake Monster, will polar plunge during the Grumpy Old Men Festival in Wabasha, MN on February 24th.

Everybody contributing $25 of more will receive a membership package, including an exclusive Lake Pepin t-shirt, and chance to win weekly prize packages. Prizes include LPLA gear, tickets to the National Eagle Center, treats from Stockholm Pie & General Store, “River Be Dammed” poetry book by local author Cole Williams, and framed Lake Pepin photography from local artists.

Members contributing at the Tundra Swan level ($250+) will be invited to a MUD Picnic in fall 2019 (see below).

Like us on Facebook to stay updated on the member drive and everything Lake Pepin!

Mud Picnic Information

In 2019, all Bald Eagle Members ($500+) are invited to join us for an entertaining MUD PICNIC. Attendees will be ferried to a shallow location in Lake Pepin, where picnic tables & refreshments will be waiting to for them. LPLA and guest speakers will provide a special presentation and art activist, Maris Gilbert, will be painting the scene at it unfolds. Special photo opportunities will be set-up to encourage attendees to take photos of themselves “walking on water” and standing nearby large passerby boats and barges. It should be a fun evening that highlights the sedimentation problem up close and personal. More information will be made available as the event takes shape.

Annual Member Meeting

Over 100 members joined us for refreshments and prizes on the Pearl of the Lake for our Annual Member Meeting this year! All members are invited to this annual event.
