All current Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance members are invited to our annual member meeting. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, November 2, at the St. James Hotel from 4:30-7:30 p.m. It’s free for members to attend, but pre-registration is required.

The meeting will include appetizers, and a cash bar will be open.

Presenting at the meeting will be LPLA’s 2023 artist-in-residence Felicia Cooper, who led our River Restoration Celebration parade and puppet show. Felicia is a professional puppeteer who has worked at the Bread and Puppet Theater in New York, First Night in Pittsburgh, and at Minneapolis’ In the Heart of the Beast Theatre. Her puppet show “Below the Underneath: An Exploration and Celebration of Native Freshwater Mussels” shines light on the often unsung heroes of our rivers – mussels.

There will also be opportunities to learn from other presenters about Lake Pepin, the Mississippi River, and the surrounding area.
