The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed a major planning step for the Robinson Lake habitat restoration project near Wabasha and selected a preferred restoration plan (Alternative 6B - see linked report). The proposed work includes targeted dredging, new island features, emergent wetlands, a fish spawning reef, and forest and habitat management work. Because the Mississippi River functions as a connected system, projects like this matter beyond their immediate footprint. We’ll continue providing updates as it moves into detailed design and construction.
